Hey everyone, I'm new to the site.
I've recently taken the HESI at SPSON, I got an overall 91%. I'm planning to go to the evening classes if I get accepted. The next step is the interview with the President of the school? Anyone else applying to SPSON?
Guys, what are your stats...GPA...scores on HESI...I'm so nervous about hearing back. I need to know like now! I don't want to take the BLS/CPR and get all of my paperwork...background check etc. done if I don't know whether or not I will receive an acceptance. What do you guys think? Are you just getting everything all ready anyway?
I was waiting until the last minute as well for the BLS certification, but in my experience all nursing programs require you to have this certification before you start classes anyway. It's valid for 2 years so I figured I'm going to need it anyway.

My GPA is too terrible to even mention, it's in the mid 2.0's. I got an overall 91% on the HESI, and my interview also went well. I hope I don't jinx myself but, during my research on SPSON, I still haven't seen one person who hasn't been accepted. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing considering that their NCLEX scores for last year were horrible. My biggest fear is that the school will get shut down when I'm half way through, and I'll be left in debt, with no degree, and mo transferable credits. Am I being to paranoid?! Whenever I try to ask any current SPSON graduates or current students about the school I never get an answer back. Either way, I'm praying for the best.
Really? Well thats good to hear(about hopefully everyone getting accepted) Honestly I know one graduate and she had pretty much good things to say for the most part....and she graduated 3 years ago. I also know someone who is graduating in the spring so I don't think that the school will shut down....definitely just think you are worrying too much. My gpa isn't great either....2.8...but over all 94% on the Hesi so I have my fingers crossed. But I am so nervous. When I had my interview, the president told me that about a 1,000 students apply and obviously only 50 something for the night and 50 something for the day are accepted. So that really scares me. When my friend went years ago, she said barely anyone applied and it was so easy to get in to.....But times have changed...Even the president had said himself. But Eva Milly...he said we should hear next week? I hope so! I had forgotten when I was told we'd hear so I've been checking my mail every day like a crazy person. Praying we all hear good news soon.

THANK YOU for telling me a positive story. Sometimes I get too much in my own head. Will you be attending evening or day? I hope we all get in, I've been trying for soooooo long. My mom actually works with someone who went to SPSON, which makes me so happy to hear.
Hey Everyone I too am in the process of applying to SPSON. I went to an informational session last week to find about about the school. I am scheduled to take my HESI December 9. I am pretty nervous about the test and what to expect from it. Will it be anything like the TEAS test? I plan on attending the evening session if all goes well. I was told class hours are from 4:30 - 11pm.
