Is anyone here applying to St. Paul's or have any word on it? I've already taken their entrance exam and did well and I took the HESI a2 and also did well (managed a 95 cumulative). I'm wary because they lack NLN accreditation and I know that I definitively want to get a bacehlors degree before moving on to a higher degree. However, I hear that's hard to do if you go to a school that isn't accredited.
Also, the price tag is *very* hefty (48,000 for the whole program). I know that it won't be as expensive for me since I've taken all eng, psych, and soc classes, but it'll still be a considerable amount of debt to place myself in for just an associates degree.
Hi everyone! I'm in my final semester at St. Paul's Queens campus and I haven't been on this website since the days before I got accepted. I was just reading through this thread and id like to say a few things that may help some of your guys' decisions about attending St. Pauls, even though it seems like many of you have your minds made up already! I used to come to this site and read every single review i could in order to get some clarity on whether I was making the right decision or not so I just want to give you guys my opinion. I started back in January 2015 when St. Paul's first started the 5 semester program. I will be graduating in a few weeks god willing, if i make it through all my final exams. So far I've made it through the program with no failures or withdraws. But let me tell you it hasn't been easy. WHat you have heard about the professors is mostly true. The majority of them are not that great, and almost every semester there have been issues with exams where students had to go to the dean and president to fight for points back. In most cases, the students lose which leads us all in a panic by the end of every semester because we end up having to score way higher on our finals to make it to the next, than we initially thought. I think i started out with around 120 students and now its down to about 30 between the day and night and by the end im sure even less than that. So yes, what you have heard about it being easy to get in, but not easy to finish is absolutely true. But if you are the kind of person who is determined and is willing to put in the work then you will be fine. A few times i've had issues with clinical placements as well. Whether it being adjunct instructors not showing up, or administration losing my medical records, or just being placed in a bad hospital or a nursing home two semesters in a row, where you barely learn anything. A lot of the times nothing was done about any of these issues. So thats definitely something that I want to let you guys know about. The school is less for the student and more for the faculty. And Ive gradually realized this as i went through the program. So that's another negative. But as far as NLN accredation, I was just as worried as you guys were. Thinking omg what BSN program is going to accept me after this, where will i even be able to go from here? Will I be able to get a job? etc. So no they aren't accreddited by NLN but that will not leave you without options I promise you. I just got accepted to grand canyon online BSN program, and will start in the winter hopefully after i graduate and take my NCLEX. There are schools out there, especially online programs, that will accept your credits. They even come to the school to visit. At lot of my other classmates have been thinking of going this route too. As we all hope to be working and an online program will be easier to keep up with. The school's NCLEX rates have been steadily increasing since I've started, and the state came to review the school the other day so they can be reaccreddited so I have no doubt that the increase in passing scores will lead them to be accreddited in the next few years. Anyway, I hope this helps you guys. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me! I'll pop back in here to check soon. Good luck everyone!
Here is a link to the catalog that is on the school's website. It will have all of the information that you are looking for.

Hi ,
I was accepted to spson for sept 16', I applied to queens campus but at the very end they told me they were full, so I could either wait until January (which she said I still might not get in ) or apply to the staten island campus because they had a lot of room. I did get in the SI campus but I'm coming all the way from the Bronx. I googled mapped it , to get to the Barclays it will take about 55 minutes because its express in the am and then they have a bus from there to the school. I figured I will just study during that time!!! very excited to just get back into school. is anyone else coming from the Bronx to SI ??? maybe we can be study partners? gdluck everyone
