St.Paul's Info Session for Fall 2014

Published

Hi all ! After viewing this board for a couple of months, I finally decided tor make an account.

:]

I'm going to be attending the information session today for the Fall 2014 school year.

Super excited for things to come!

Any one else trying to get in for fall 2014 ?

I passed. 81 on ENG section and 92 on the math. There were some vocab words that weren't in the book, but you had to use context clues from the sentence. Everything else was okay.

Wow awesome scores! Was the reading sections mostly nursing/health related passages or just random stories? And was MOST of the vocab from the elsevier review book? Im nervous about those >

Oh and did you have a total amount of 4 hours or 1 hour per each section?

Also, which campus are you applying to? And did they say when they would let you know about acceptance?

(sorry i have so many questions heh)

Thank you! And no, they were mostly random stories.I would say like 75% of the words were there and I was also nervous about the vocab smh. The total hours for the test is 4. And I'm applying to the Queens campus. They changed up some things before you get accepted I was told. They added an interview with the School's President and that's the deciding factor if you get in.

Thank you! Im applying to SI campus, i wonder if they do the interview there too... Good luck, let me know how your interview goes :)

Hi i just have one more question if you can help me out i'd really appreciate it. I'm studying right now and I'm wondering... for grammar, did you see a lot of questions like "what is the predicate, subject, object, preposition, etc" or was it mostly sentences that you had to fix to make it grammatically correct?

I mostly had "this sentence is incorrect blah blah blah fix it." But I say study everything cause you never know if there are different versions of the test.

you're right, i will... thanks!! so nervous :nailbiting:

No problem and good luck!

Hi ! sorry for the delayed response. I passed got a 91 on the english part overall but need to retake the math : ( . Overall it wasn't bad. The test was just like the review book, I'm not strong in math and I got a lot of fractions on the math section so I just have to study more and knock it out the park.

how did both of you do on the exams?? was it just like the review book?

i have to retake the math...but the english/grammar section wasnt bad at all
