St. Francis college (Brooklyn, NY) transfer

Published

Hi does anyone have any info about the nursing program at St. francis in Brooklyn? Im applying to their program for Spring 2021 as a transfer I wanted to know if anyone know hoe competitive they are. I have an B in A&P 1, an A- in A&P 2, an A- in stats, B+ in chem, and I take micro bio next semester. My overall GPA is a 3.5 and my SAT score from 2 years ago is a 1280. Does this seem like I have a good chance of getting in?

Hi, I applied to their nursing program for fall 2021.  You have a great GPA! I am looking for answers on this institution as well.

Did you get into their nursing program ? (I understand you said you were gonna apply to their program for SP 21’ , also how did the process go if you don’t mind sharing.
•Are you satisfied with your experience, being in the program (if you are in the program)?
•How is the tuition ?

please, tell me about your whole experience.
looking forward to hearing from you! And best of luck!

Hey, I have also applied for Fall 2021 as a transfer, have you heard back from admissions yet?

Hi Jay0405,

I applied as well! I sent in my transcripts the end of January and I am still waiting to hear back. I am so nervous... I had to come to this website to see if anyone else had any comments, because this waiting game makes me extremely anxious. Good luck to you!

Good Luck to you too!!

Hope to hear good news soon. Did you apply to any other schools?

Thank you! I applied to St Francis, St Joseph's, York, Hunter.. I got waitlisted for St Joseph's, because apparently all transfer students are placed on a waitlist initially, then called if seats open up. Just waiting to hear back, did you apply anywhere else or heard back from anywhere else?

I also got wait listed to St Joseph and was told the same thing. I applied to Monroe College, College of Mount Saint Vincent and St. Francis College. Will also be taking the TEAS exam at the end of the month since Monroe and College of Mount saint vincent requires it.

For York and Hunter don't you have to be a student there first to be able to apply to their nursing program?

Ugh, the wait is so stressful.. I would have applied to Monroe College too but it's too far for me. And honestly, I am not sure, I just applied everywhere that I can to heighten my chances. They look at each individual student and since I applied as a transfer, it's different. Hopefully I get in somewhere because even if it's not my first choice - I'm going! I feel that since the pandemic, there are many more people now wanting to go to Nursing school, so I can imagine the competition, it sucks..

Yes because of the pandemic there is a big surge of nurses. I am also a transfer and willing to go anywhere.

Will keep you posted about any good news!

Hi I actually didn't end up applying because I got into CSI which was my first choice. Good luck though!

Yes! Likewise! I will as well and I hope you get into every program :). It's nice to be able to talk about this with someone in a similar situation.
