I have never felt so bad coming out of an interview. It was rough but I definitely got a better idea of what they are looking for in their applicants and if I don't get in this year then I'll have that advantage next year.

But as for right now my heart is bleeding on the floor and it will remain there until I hear back from them.

Hope your interview went well!

I think u did better than u think. As long as u weren't cocky then u did fine, plus u have your ccrn which is a bonus. I thought that test was hard, more than I anticipated!! I didn't get any clinical questions mostly personal. Now the waiting game begins. Good luck I hope were classmates my this time next year keep me posted.

Yeah I only got 6 out of 20, there was a lot of advanced patho on there and of course the thing I forgot to study (medication calculations). I really think they tried to get in your head and freak you out with the exam (they asked me what I thought about it and I told them that a lot of it was over my head, she then said well this is common icu knowledge. I didn't say anything back but I shot her a look like 'if that's common icu knowledge then I'm marilyn monroe). Probably the only ones I got right were the ABGs and a lucky guess here and here. I got all personal questions and I made them laugh a couples times so maybe they liked my personality enough and saw how driven I am, hopefully that is what sticks in their minds.

I'll let you know if I hear anything, she told me no news is good news and that they had 50 applicants for 15 spots so that's pretty good odds.

If u made them laugh than that's a good thing. Yeah I worked icy for 5 years and have not come across half those questions the math wouldn't have been so bad if I had a calculator long division is hard enough. 50 applicants isn't much and from the list I think it wasn't alphabetical. I keep thinking postive.

AltruisticRN i can't post a message to you so when u get a chance email me at [email protected]

I had my interview last wenesday. I think i did ok in test and interview but after the interview when she was explaining the program, she asked me if i will reapply next year in case i did not get in this year. She also said that i may hear next week or next month and that no news is a good news. The wait is killing me but i guess i have no other choice. Hopefully we will classmates in fall.

I know they asked me the same question about reapplying too. I go out to mailbox everyday just to find junk mail. did u apply elsewhere? hopefully we hear soon good news that is:)

I applied only to st. elizabeth this year. I talked with a counsler with akron state and she said to take all the pre-req- which is about 15 credit hours before the interview. Only half of those credit hours are transferables to ysu, case or pitt in case you are not accepted into the program. That seemed a big gamble to me at that time. i check my mail box every day hoping but so far nothing. Hopefully we will be accepted this year to st. elizabeth if not i guess i will start taking courses at akron state and apply there next year and may be apply to pitt and case too. I have 2 kids, husband( who works at GM) and a house. So attending an anesthesia program in cincinnati or california is not an option for me. I am keep thinking positive. Did you apply anywhere else? I saw that alltruistic had her interview at case last week.

I only applied to st e's too I missed the deadline for Akron this year. I work fr hmhp and it's close I too own a home and moving is not on

option for me either married and child as well. I'll post as soon as I hear. My friends in the program said the bad thing about interviewing early is having to wait longer. We could get a letter in April :( that's alot of walking and rollar coaster emotions.

I got into Case so I am leaning towards attending there since I feel like I bombed my YSU interview. I'm not holding my breath anymore, it's nice knowing I'm in somewhere. Good luck you guys I can't wait to here good news from everyone.
