1st Day Of Work On Tuesday, Nervous To The Bone!

Published

Hi all, I am a new grad, I just got my LPN license in OCtober. Well, I start my FIRST LPN position on Tuesday, I will be getting one on one Orientation at a LTC. I don't know what to expect, I am more nervous than I was when I was waiting for my NCLEX results!

What should I expect? What should I be bringing with me (stethoscope, etc.)?

Friends have told me just to ask questions, always ask if I don't know (which I already knew). Any other advice would be appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!

Being an orientee is cool. Its when that part is OVER that you will feel the HEAT. Yes bring your own stethoscope...you want to be sanatary and not use what has been in others ears. Some nurses bring their own BP monitor as well. Med passes will take you forever to do. Paper work will be a pain. There is nothing to be nervous about though...only thing I dred is standing on my feet all day. Stay organized, and keep that med cart LOCKED.
