St. Charles Community College

Does anyone here go to St. Charles Community College? And if so, how do you like the program/instructors? I am very interested in it since it seems there is so much flexibility with day and night classes/clinicals. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I will be a 2nd year student next year, and I love it. Take your pre-reqs first if you can because the program is difficult. If you don't have a spot in next year's class, you will have to wait to start in 2010 anyway, classes for fall are already full. There is a lot of flexibility, and you can do the whole program on nights (classes and clinicals start arround 2p) Good luck!!!

I attend there and will also be a second year student in August. The program is great, but very time consuming and difficult. Yes, they do have some evening classes, which begin around 4. As far as clinicals, there are morning and evening clinicals, but which one you get into depends on when you register for classes and the number of people who have registered ahead of you. You could get evenings, but you could also be stuck with day clinicals, which begin at 7AM. Evening clinicals begin at 2 and go until 8 or 9. Also, you will have to schedule time to practice your lab skills, and the lab is only open during the week until about 4 every day but Monday, on which it closes at 8PM. Most times people need more than a day to practice their labs before test out, so if you can't make it during the day you may have a problem. It's a good program, but plan on it taking up a LOT of your time.
