Spring 2018 wake tech nursing

U.S.A. North Carolina

Hey Everyone,

I am just wondering if anyone is in the same boat as I am :) I am applying to wake techs nursing program this july 31st for spring 2018. Anyone who is or had , and got in have any insight with grades that got them accepted? And all that?

Congrats everyone! Are there any alternates in this board?

I still haven't received my letter :( I have 177 pints but no letter yet

Well with it being 177 points and acceptance 166, you should be straight.

Hi Everyone! I am an alternate! I have 162 points, so if alternates started at 165, I feel like I should be okay? What do you think?? I wish orientation would just get here already so I can find out what number in line I am!! I wish I couldve gotten more points, but I couldnt find a way to fit Micro into my schedule before the application date so I guess I should just be happy with the 162 that I got!!

Hey there! I'm hoping all will be well. I went to the campus yesterday just to make sure I was on the right track with the 165 points that I calculated. Low and behold it was 160 not 165. I never knew that in 2012 I got a C in English, retook in 2013 and ended up with a D. Like what the heck. I never since day one sat down with an advisor and wish I would have all this time. I would've gotten that D off immediately! Especially after retaking two psychs that I recieved Bs to get As. However, trying to remain positive but it's super hard.

I got my letter !! I'm in...I had 177 points

I have been studying the med calc book but does anybody know the format of the test? Is it short answer or multiple choice

Congrats to all of you who got into the Spring 2018 nursing program at Wake Tech! I plan on applying at the end of January for the fall, 2018 program and have been reading all of the comments on this thread. I'm still at the point where I'm estimating how many points I'll have since I'm still in A&P2 and need to take the TEAS yet. Can anyone tell me what the lowest number of points that someone got in with? Also, I saw at least one or two mentions about the points structure changing soon but wondering if anyone has seen any documentation on that so future students can prepare? Good luck, fellow future RNs!

Oh, I also wanted to add if after orientation, if anyone would share anything you may have learned about the waiting list or points would be so helpful for this next round of candidates. Thank you!

Hey there. Thank you! From what we gathered so far the lowest number of points I think started at 165 or 166. I believe the psy classes are now going to be 12, 9, and 6 as far as points. As far as the teas- candidates must score a 59 or above to be considered. So that's pretty new now too. But I think the points for the teas are the same. Best of luck on your journey! You got this! :)

Almost positive it's short answer

I am going to be applying in the spring of 2019, so I still have a few months before I apply. I was wondering if anyone knew what the new cut off for points is since they revised the point system. The total points are now 180. Love to hear back! Thanks(:
