Spring 2016: USF CA Non- RN MSN Program

Hi guys,

Starting a new thread for USF Ca MSN for Non RN's program.... just submitted my app!!! Super anxious but I am glad I submitted early!!!! Anyone else submitted applications???

I'm thinking the cohort is not complete yet, and after they finalize is when the rejection letters will be sent out. But this is just my assumption. Hang in there everyone, we may still have a shot!

Don't give up hope. Stay positive. I called on Friday about an hour before I got the acceptance call and the woman who answered said the decisions wouldn't be done for 1-2 weeks because they haven't gone through all of the applicants yet...

Thanks! That could explain why it's taking a while for the response in my case, I turned in my application on the night of the deadline....could be they haven't looked at my app yet.

Hmmm...my question is how do they select the applicants if they have not yet gone through all the apps?

I wish they just send out majority of rejection letters first...

Me too. I submitted mine on 10/15 at 2pm.

I submitted mine a lot later...right before midnight :/ I cut it close, my fault though. I hope that doesn't affect my decision.

I'm not familiar with the application review process....

The process is all done by rank... The primary applicants were called during the week of Thanksgiving and as positions become available due to several different reasons, they are filled by the next qualified person in line. There is a lot to be completed after being initially accepted and failure to meet all the requirements such as passing the drug screen, the background check, the physical, and submiting sealed transcripts can eliminate candidates.

Don't give up hope until Jan. 25th when classes start. Good luckí ½í¸Š

Just found out I didn't get in :/ I logged in to check my application status and there was a message saying decision available.

I'm so sorry to hear that... I'm not sure where you live, but the USF BSN program in Sacramento is still taking applications for Fall 2016 and there are not very many applicants because it's a fairly new program. Chances of getting in would be very good.

Good luck in whatever you decide and don't give up.

M3109, im sorry to hear that. I just logged in and it still said "to be reviewed after deadline."

Yet, I still need to prepare what I need to do in case I don't get in.

I guess I will know my result soon then.
