I am in need of good shoes for next semester. I made it through this semester fine with my crappy $12 sneakers from Walmart, but it definitely took a toll on my feet, and more importantly, my bad ankle!
I went to one of the local uniform shops last night and tried on a whole slew of shoes from Danskos (yuck!!) to a bunch of sneakers to Landau to Spring Step...and I liked the Spring Step Greta the best.
The woman at the uniform shop said that they sell well (although now that they have Danskos in the store, these are becoming less popular). They seem to have a good amount of arch support, lots of padding for comfort, and a good fit, so I think these are what I'm going to get.
I'm actually not really a huge fan of how they look (but that might be because they don't look nearly as good in person as they do in the picture I posted!)...but they're nursing shoes, so they don't need to look good!
I haven't yet worn them for clinical yet -- those don't start for this semester til the week after next...but I did wear them around the house for a good couple of hours, and they seem extremely comfortable, so I think they'll work out nicely.
