Hello everyone. Is anyone applying at Prairie View medical center in Houston ? For spring 2018?

I am so sorry that you were denied. In the denial letter, What all did they list?; Did they insert a new evaluation or give you a reason as to why you were denied? And how were your HESI scores? :(

No they didn't give me a reason at all. They offered other me to change my major and sent this form if I decided to change my major.", I would have to fill out that form and send it back to them. Really sucks but oh well. My total hesi is 93

I checked my mail and I didn't get anything!

Maybe it's a good thing you didn't get anything yet. It seems like they sent out the denials first . So sad

Sarah, I'm really sorry! Keep your head up, I never heard back from UT .

Ya I wasn't to surprised since they had so many problems receiving my transcripts and hesi scores. I'm also waiting on UT but from what I understand, acceptances and waitlisted students have received their decisions and looks like denials are being last. Just my luck

nothing same as the post before mine z denied and they sent a form if I wanted to change majors no explanation on why or what can I improve . Hesi overall 83 but I can say first hesi was a bad score so don't know if they took that one in consideration. Thanks still debating if I will continue to apply to nursing schools .. is so crazy how competitive it is and we don't know what we need to improve

Again, I'm sorry. I wish they gave an explanation to why someone is being denied! UT frustrated me, the way they chose people seems to be at random. Good luck to everyone in the future ! :)

I know , it would help us fix any mistakes or try to bring a grade up if that's the issue. I've applied 5 times to uth and no luck. The thing is people with lower gpa are getting accepted while some with a 4.0 are rejected. so it really is an unfair decision

I agree! Their way of choosing students is confusing. How can a 3.6 be accepted but not a 4.0? And if the GPA and HESI are not the main focus then they could at least let us know. I applied but I knew it was a long shot since it seems to be based on luck. Either way I don't hate the school, I would love to go there . I would love to just be in nursing school, ugh!!! I'm ready to be a nurse !!! ...

Hey guys just wondering if acceptance will be mailed in a big envelope pack or a small envelope. Or if all notifications will be in a single letter mail. Thanks I'll be away from home and would just like a hint from family that checks my mail

I wish I knew! I would think it would be in a big envelope that's how it was when I was accepted to the main campus. I'll be checking the mail tomorrow in hopes of getting something! If I get anything I'll post it here.

I just received my acceptance through the mail! It came in a big brownish/yellowish envelope and felt like it had many forms inside! Best of luck to the rest of you and I hope you get your acceptance letters soon! :)

Congratulations! That's awesome news. I haven't checked my mail yet, I will later on since it hadn't passed by my neighborhood. Ah praying for good news :)
