Spring 2015 Online VBSN at University of Texas Arlington

Published

Hello,

I wanted to start a thread or support group for anybody who has applied to the Veterans online BSN program at the University of Texas Arlington. I know we all applied to the AP BSN program but I believe it's a bit different from that actual program. Introduce yourselves since we might be seeing each other at clinicals, if we get in I sent in my application on May 28th. Fingers crossed :nailbiting:

I'm sooo glad that this program is starting to take applicants... I introduced the VBSN program coordinator with the ACAP point of contact at Fort Hood and keep hoping to see more traction on this and learn if I was able to make a difference in other veteran's life... Keep us updated and good luck. Thank you for your service.

I applied for for the VBSN also.I applied to a few other schools as well but no luck until I stumbled upon this program. I really hope I get in considering I have no idea how many slots there are and how many people apply for it.

There are 2 possible sites to be utilized the Dallas VA and Temple VA. They are able to accept 10 students at each site so a total of 20 veterans. Luckily not too many people know about the program yet so if you've met the prerequisites for the program you should get in because only 5 veterans applied. I've been speaking to Ms. Kinnan about the program for a while she's extremely helpful. Acceptance letters should be going out Mid-Sept to October but I'm not 100% sure of when exactly. Good luck!

I only need the 3 classes and the elective but I start that tomorrow so Ill definitely get it done. :)

I'm a full time student at UTA (Fall 2014), and I'm also a former corpsman interested in the VBSN program. If you ever want to chat send me a message.

Hello. Was wondering if anyone has started the UTA VBSN program? I am a current University of Kentucky student and finished all my pre reqs (Gen chem 1 in fall 2016) and see that pharm and the other class is a pre req? I ran into this program brochure and became highly interested in it, but will be applying for it next year because I want to improve my GPA first.

I am a former navy hospital corpsman and works at a CNA at the dialysis unit here in UK hospital.
