Thought I'd start a thread for the Spring 2020 Creighton University ABSN applicants! I submitted my priority deadline application today!! Can't wait to hear back. Phoenix is my first choice, but I'm open to go where ever! Anyone else?!
@Nicoleriberdy Hey Nicole! Most of the students that go to the college I am currently attending do their ABSN through the Central campus. I opted for Omaha, but am super familiar with the area since I did my first two undergrads here. I would suggest taking a look at The Brewery Lofts downtown. Here's a good reference site for you ? https://www.hastingsdowntown.com/living/available-properties.html
@Nicoleriberdy I chose Omaha over Central because I did my whole undergrad here and was ready for a change of pace. I feel like Omaha has more options for activities and food. I'm not a city person, but I am from California, so I was seeking some of that familiarity of diversity and a faster pace. I believe Becca Butcher is sending out facebook Group invites to connect with others. I think Creighton also has apartment suggestion lists on the ABSN sites.
Few more questions regarding Grand Island, can you email me at [email protected] Thank you?

So far it's been a great experience but just know you will need to be flexible with all of the COVID regulations (we are required to go through health checks daily on campus to enter the facilities), if you are sick or have symptoms you will have to Zoom for class, etc. also, they have minimized our times to be on campus so we only have physical class 3 days per week. This means on lab days you may be in class or clinical study up to 12 hrs/ day. While class is only 3 days I'd really be prepared to spend 5-6 full days/ week or more for study/ prep activities. Hope this helps and good luck!
