Anyone waiting for the acceptance letter from WTCC?
Jade,
Wow, you must have been busy all this time! This was my first time applying for the program. Unfortunately, I could not put my application before as I had to take the TEAS exam on June 28 and the deadline was on July 1:blackeye: . But, as you said I will try next semester again:up:.
Tuesdaymorning,
If you have all your prerequisites done, then you should not worry about putting your application. This is free of charge! But, you should sign up for an orientation, so you can learn about the program, and get your questions answered. I know how you feel. For sometime, I was really confused too, but eventually everything made sense to me.
Aww..TuesdayMorning I can assure you it will be OK... Like McFlores said.. It is FREE to apply. And if you have decent stats you probably have a great chance of getting in. You just gotta take that leap of faith!!!:)
O and forget the whole competitive notion. People told me the same thing and if I listened I wouldn't have applied. They are just trying to detract people from applying and making it competitive for them lol
In the information session we were all told to buy the books from the bookstore, they said you could buy whatever books you wanted but that you would be responsible for figuring out what to read, where to read it from, and figuring out any missing information. I recommend you spend the extra money to get what the teachers will be teaching from, older editions generally are very similar but sometimes the information is slightly different and/or placed in a different order.

Thanks McFlores!!!... As far as points go I have 189 points. I am currently taking Nutrition and Dev Psych, which would have bumped up my points even more. The Spring is the best time to apply. I was told this in the Information session, that was held a few months ago. The point threshold is lower for people starting in the spring(applying in july) as oppose to any other semester. It was my first time applying and I had no issues with acceptance. So whoever is waitlisted or rejected, the great news is, the opportunity is still there because its not based on essays, references etc. but its based on POINTS which is great... i think the biggest leap is just getting past the CNA requirement and taking the TEAS test. I did both from April-June.
