Hey thanks for starting this thread!
Recently took my TEAS at MSMU and received a 72%....first time, minimal studying . Overall GPA of 3.1 with Microbiology still in progress. Talked to a representative yesterday and she told me that decisions will be mailed out no later than early December. Has anyone else gotten this information or anything different? Literally on pins and needles and hoping to get in, despite my "low" scores
Goodluck everyone!
Hey! Thanks for starting this, I've been looking for one with no luck. I have not heard anything yet. I also just took my TEAS last week and received an 80%, my overall GPA is a 2.9 but with a 3.3 for my science prerequisites and I have Microbiology and Critical Thinking in progress this semester. I had heard some things about getting your decision earlier on the portal but I wasn't sure how to go about it.
Hello to everyone on this thread..I started the program this past August, but if any of you have any questions for me or just want words of encouragement, don't be hesitant to ask!
Good luck!!
Wow thank you!
overall how do you like the program?
do you take clinicals the first 8 weeks of starting the program?
what classes do you take in the first 8 weeks?
what happens after you get your acceptance letter?.... like what are the next steps orientation after the orientation
thank you!
I'll start from the beginning haha. Once you get your acceptance letter you'll get all kinds of emails regarding the setup of your student account + emails regarding orientation. At orientation they will teach you how to sign up for classes.
Overall, I really love the program. The professors are sooo helpful and they want you to do well. The first week may seem hectic and you may feel like you can't do it.. but you can. It's all doable.
No, you do not have clinicals the first 8 weeks. However, you have fundamentals lab on Saturdays and sundays (not every weekend though). The classes you will be taking are fundamentals lecture, fundamentals lab, pharmacology, and Roy adaptation theory.
After the first 8 weeks are over and you pass all your classes, you'll take a medication calculation test (may sound scary now but it's not), and that is basically your ticket to start your med-surg clinicals and you'll be able to give PO meds, woohoo!!

Hey,
I didn't see a thread for Mount Saint Mary University -spring 2018 ADN program so I thought I would start it.
I recently applied and took my TEAS exam at MSMU. I was just wondering what everyone else's stats were....Please feel free to post your GPA, TEAs score, any updates you receive from the mount and anything else you'd like to share!
My TEAS score was 78% and my GPA is a 3.3 overall with 1 class in progress (logic class)
