I'm a foreign educated nurse, licensed in massachusetts about a year ago,and i live in the boston area, does anyone know of a nursing home or hospital that can employ me,file for work authorization and subsequently sponsor me,all attempts at getting the big hospitals do it for me has been unsuccesful.

thank you Noelia23RN, i was ecstatic when i read your post, so, i called the hospital,spoke with a nurse recruiter who said the hospital, does not do that now,i'm at a loss.

I'm still waiting and hoping luck will shine on me.

Don't forget when you talk to them to emphasize that you already have a license!! This greatly cuts down the time. Also sometimes it's better to use the word "petition" rather than "sponsor". I would make an appointment to go and talk to a recruiter - it's harder to say no in person!!

I also do not mind working in nursing homes, if there are any out there that can petition for me.

Nursiko technologies sent me an email whether i could reloate to NY/NJ,but my husband is based here, so making relocating outside this state difficult.
