Speaking to recruiter/HR at current organization

Hi I have an odd question. Has anyone ever spoke to their organization’s recruiter to find a more suitable job with in the organization? I need a job that offers some part time ability to sit down during a shift, but I am not familiar with other jobs as I have had the same job for a long period of time.There were openings in Dosa and Gi. Also possibly case management .

Case management staff are on the phones coordinating discharges, updating insurance companies, reviewing EMR for discharge status, care coordination along with patient contact for discharge planning so would allow most sitting down time.
