Hi all!
I am applying to the Nursing program at St. Petersburg College for fall 2011. I am currently a SPC student and have already proved Florida residency, but I was wondering what type of documents they needed to see to prove Pinellas county residency upon acceptance into the program. Are they the same documents from the list for the basic Florida residency? Thank you in advance! :)

Not sure if you've already found your answer but I'm currently in the nursing program and didn't supply any documentation regarding me living in Pinellas County. I realize you're concerned about the Pinellas county residents getting priority but if the address they have one file (the one you gave to establish Florida residency) is in Pinellas you should be fine. I'm guessing that you'll be finishing up your pre-reques next semester (Spring) and then starting the program in fall.
Good Luck!

I will be starting SPC's nursing program in January. I have attended orientation and got my schedule. There is a bunch of stuff that needs to be completed before school starts: getting books, uniform, background screening, drug test, immunization records, notarized affidavate saying your not a criminal, standardized tests to e taken.....however if you are already an SPC student who has established residency with the school when you first started...there is no need to do it again.
Really? Thank you for responding. I have heard that you needed to prove pinellas county residence but since you have the most recent experience, I will stop stressing about gathering documents... lol. Good luck in the program!

Hi, just curious, what is the standardized test like? Is it like the TEAS?? I applied for the Fall 2011 program, hoping to hear back soon by the end of this month or in April...
It actually is the TEAS. They make you take the TEAS and a critical thinking standardized test before your first day of class but after youve been accepted. It doesn't really matter what you score on them because youve already been accepted. The results are used by the teachers to understand where the admitted class stands.

I went to this school and graduated last semester. I didn't have to have a notarized criminal paper. What exactly is it?
It was a piece of paper that came in the minila envelope they give u at orientation. It basically said that i was never convicted of a crime or had any criminal charges pending...and i had to sign it in front of a notary. maybe u didnt have to do it....maybe its a new thing. im in my first semester....so this is a recent requirement.
