SPC Fall 2015 RN Program

Published

Hello all! I've just applied for the SPC nursing program in March. I'm a bit hesitant as my GPA isn't as great as I'd like it to be. I've been hearing a rumor that statistics is no longer being calculated for the AS degree in nursing. I was wondering if anyone knows more of this? I got a C in Stats and it's really weighing my GPA down hard. If it isn't being calculated anymore then my GPA is just right for the program! Please let me know if any of you are familiar with this. Also, I'd like to hear from you about what GPA you're applying with! I'm SO incredibly nervous. Thanks so much for your time!

Hi! I just read your post trying to find feedback about the nursing program as well. Looking at the date it's been a while, have you heard anything about the program? I just applied to the LVN program but plan to apply to the RN as well. How many do they accept in the program?

I applied early on as well for the fall 2015 ASN program... I've already heard back from a few other programs up in Northern FL but nothing from SPC yet, so I'm very curious.

The decisions will be sent out July 1st, the director of nursing admissions told me.

Hi everyone! I just found this thread. There's another SPC one that I've been posting in but more people to talk with the better! I also applied for fall. I have a 3.9 gpa without ethics completed but I'm taking that this summer. Just worried since there was an issue sorting out my PSY credits after the application deadline (discussed in the other thread).

According to the guide I found on SPC's site unfortunately it looks like they're still counting stats. If your other grades are good though it should be fine!

I just went to an HEC counselor yesterday and they are definitely still counting stats. They also said the lowest GPA they took last Fall was a 3.3. Makes me feel a lot better since Fall is supposedly the harder semester to get in!

I just applied to the LVN program

SPC has an LVN program? Or did you mean the LVN to RN bridge program?
