Southwestern College, San Diego, CA LVN-RN Spring 2025

Hello,

Waiting to hear if I got accepted to the step up program. Application deadline was 9/6/24. Anybody else waiting? What were your points on the application? I'm nervous because of their paper process. What if a paper falls out of my stack, LOL!😝 Good luck everybody!

Hi! I also applied. I have 85 points if I counted correctly. I was told by current students that they're accepting more people this time around!

I wonder what most people get in with?Good luck to you! Do you think they're taking more LVNs cause regular ADN students have been dropped?

I wonder if they have a separate step up program now? Allowing the program to admit more lvns vs putting lvns in slots of RN students not returning for whatever reason. That would be great... numbers would go from maybe below 10 to maybe 30. That is just me throwing out numbers. I don't know how it works or how many they admit.... Positive thinking!!  Happy waiting to all!!

That would be nice but from my understanding it's still the same old way.

Awesome! If I counted right, I have 88 points, I hope we both get in!

Someone that graduated recently said they had a 78% TEAS and 3.1 science GPA. I don't know how many points they had.. But every time I've asked SWC, they say that it really just depends on how many people apply and how many people they're accepting, so it just varies every year.

Yes, that'd be great! I heard that a lot of ppl from the ADN program dropped which is why they're accepting more. I guess we'll figure out for sure hopefully soon. Good luck to everyone! I hope we all get in!!
