Hello All,
I am looking to connect with others that have applied for the 2024 LVN-RN program at SWC.
I believe I applied on the lower end with about 80 points. I am curious what points everyone else has applied with.
Best of luck everyone ! ?

Hi!
I just submitted my packet today! I applied with 88 points, hopefully 90 if they accept my other points!
Good luck to us!
@anniepoolvn 88-90 is great! Did you apply anywhere else ?

I submitted my packet yesterday with 80 points. I was reading other reviews and now I don't think I have a shot..... :(
@claisa110 I feel the same way. I had reached out to the school to get an accurate idea of previous years points for people that were accepted and they gave no info , they just said that it varies every year. I also asked how many students would be accepted this year since I know it's space available for lvn -RN and didn't get an answer to that either unfortunately, they just said that it's space available ...I just figured they might know how many spaces they have at this point ..What they were able to tell me though is that notifications will go out 1-3 weeks after the closing date of the application! Feels like forever but we will know soon enough!
1.5 weeks to go...?. Hopefully is just us 3 applying ?. I'll keep you posted on whatever news I receive. Good luck!
@claisa110 Did you mail your app or bring it in person? I mailed mine certified but of course have now convinced myself they never got it despite having proof that says otherwise. LOL
I am curious how many applications they did get but I am thinking it's not just the 3! ?
At this point I would just like to know either way!
I submitted my packet in person since I was so close to the deadline. I received my Associates just this past Spring and received the degree the weekend before the due date. The girl that I submitted my packet to just said thank you gl.? I have no proof that I submitted mine. I didn't even get her name..
I submitted mine in person as well. No receipt or anything, the lady just said good luck LOL
Definitely kind of getting worried that my packet may have gotten lost somewhere. I check my email everyday.
I also applied at SD city college, but I prefer SWC since I live like 5 mins away compared to SDCC.
Ahh! The wait is def killing me! I do hope
we all get in!
Okay so I am not the only one concerned about the submission process! LOL I like to have real confirmation of things.
I also applied to city , my points are higher for city and city is closer to me but I believe that Swc has an evening / weekend program which would be better w my schedule but I would honestly be happy with either!
Do you know how the evening/weekend program works?
I just know that it's a couple evenings a week and clinicals are typically 12 hrs on Saturday's. I have not spoken directly to the school about it but I've spoken to people that went through the program. I also am not sure what the process is as far as requesting day or evening program or if they just assign based on availability etc ...
