Hi everyone! I’m starting this thread so we can share our application criteria points with each other! I just turned in my application today. I have between 85 and 88 points. I have 3 B’s on my science prerequisites :((, 4.0 gpa for all the general Ed courses. I have fluency in Spanish, an associates degree, CNA, and volunteer experience. I scored an 88 on my TEAS! I hope they can look past my grades in my prerequisite courses and I get in!!! I hope we all get into this cohort! Good luck everyone

That’s great don’t be disheartened most of the alternatives got into the program most of the evening class was an alternative about 10 maybe even more I forgot but that’s good you still have a chance!!!!!

@movingfwd that’s still great news! Do you mind telling me how many points do you have on your swc application? I haven’t received anything yet, so now I’m jst expecting the worst.

Thank you! I honestly did not count my points before I submitted my application because I did it last minute, but I can tell you I have all B's in my science classes, the rest of my classes I have A's for the most part, 83.3% on my TEAS test, I am bilingual, I have my LVN license and IV certification, and I worked while taking my prerequisites. Good luck! I hope you receive an email soon.

I was in your shoes two years ago and now I am working as a RN, graduated from SWC and going to PLNU for the RN-to-BSN program. It all works out! Alternates do not get discouraged, in my cohort all 10 alternates got in. You will be amazed how many people cannot commit to the schedule due to other responsibilities but wont say anything until the first week of class. Just stick it out.
