I just wanted to start a topic for this upcoming Southwestern ADN cohort (Fall 2018)! What are everyone's stats? (GPA, Teas, etc). I'm also applying at San Diego City, Palomar College, Grossmont and National University.
Im so tired if waiting Can they let us know already augh!!!
Maybe they had to postpone the review of the applications so that they can orient the new director. And for other schools like city, the acceptance invitations were sent two months after the deadline.
So hang in there!
True, our deadline was January 31st! Over 2 months ago, and even if a new director is in place, they should send an update for the applicants to at least know what is going on. Especially now that all the other colleges sent out letters. How can someone accept if they're still trying to get into Swc but no notifications yet? It's just frustrating at this point, and we're not allowed to call and ask.
Yes it is very frustrating because the timing is just super inconsistent with the past few years. I expected a letter over a month ago. I understand it is a long and grueling process but uhg can't help but feel irritated when many other schools have already sent out acceptances. I hate complaining about it but its so hard not to :/ hoping for the best for everyone and staying positive. Praying to hear by the end of this week!
I'm currently in my 2nd semester at SWC. I received my acceptance letter March 8th last year. Alternates got their emails a week or so afterward. I don't have any info about when the LVNs will receive their acceptance letters, but I do know that the LVNs that will be accepted will be placed in my cohort (weekend/evening) this fall. Feel free to ask any questions or PM me. Keeping my fingers crossed for you all :)
Hi, how are you liking the program so far? What is hard about it and can you work while in the program?
THANKS!!
Hi everyone, I have been reading here that there is a new director and that she seems a bit stricter than the last one. Makes me a bit nervous as I just applied for the LVN program and won't here back until May. The previous director allowed more than one repeat but it seems this one will not. I had withdrawn from an A&P course at NU and later on an anatomy course at SWC before completing it at SWC because I finally quit working full time. Does anyone know if that counts as two tries or if that will keep me from getting into either LVN or RN program? I have tried speaking to someone but they all seem to be on edge with all the current changes. Any feedback would be appreciated :)
I am in a similar situation, unfortunately I don't really think there is a straight forward answer I think it truly depends on the director. I have also tried to talk to someone at the school and I've received different opinions even from the previous director which you are right I believe she wouldn't count withdrawn as an attempt in the course but now it's hard to determine how this new director will count that. Did they allow you to apply for both the LVN and RN program?
