Southwest Tn CC Fall 2018

U.S.A. Tennessee

I am applying to the nursing program at stcc and am very nervous about whether or not I'll be accepted. Is anyone applying for the fall '18 semester as well? I made B's in micro and a&p1 (an 89 and an 88... so frustrating!) and an A and a&p2. My GPA is a 3.55, and I haven't taken the NLN PAX-RN yet. What are your grades in micro and a&p1 and a&p2? GPA? NLN? Any advice for the NLN or any information on what kinds of grades and scores other applicants might have? Any info would be much appreciated!

You know what........ I've been over them. Like you REALLY had to be off the last Friday in April.

Have you guys heard anything yet?

Hey everyone check your emails! I'm officially accepted. The journey begins. Look forward to meeting you all.

Hi! I got an email around 3 with my acceptance letter into the nursing program! Excited to start!

Everyone go and add to the group.

I got in too!!! Cant wait to meet you all

Hi,

I'm looking to apply for the Spring 2019 non-LPN track. I have an undergraduate degree and going back taking pre-reqs for nursing. I did not do so hot in the undergrad degree (less than 3.0)...

1. Do you have pointers with someone that has a BS already and applying for an ASN? Since you kinda have the same(ish) background that I do.

2. Anything else that'd be helpful for someone that has a Bachelor's degree and applying for this program?

THANKS!

You need to make sure you have your science pre recs done (within 5 years) and your other classes that are more specialty like pyschology, nutrition and statistics.

I have 2 previous degrees and a minor in psychology and my statistics and pyschology may not transfer, so you want to check on that stuff before getting in a pickle like me.

Hey quick question. I got into SW Nursing Program Generic track for Fall 2019. I got into the Accelerated BSN program at Union University as well. I'm trying to decide which would be the best option financially. Can someone give me insight on the SWCC Nursing generic track? I have a Bachelors degree already. I'm wondering if I'd be able to finish the program in 3 semesters instead of 4 since I already have all the pre-reqs done.

Also, are you able to work in the program? If so what does that look like? Thanks!
