Let's start a new thread for the spring 2015 hopefuls ! Let's share our journey

I'm pretty sure she won't be emailing you back if you emailed her on Saturday...she said to email her Monday at 8:00. No earlier.

Congratulations on everyone being accepted! Please make sure you read everything that's given to you. Take this break to rest up and do things with your family, friends, children, pets, or coworkers. Once school starts you will spend time trying to study and trying to get organize. I suggest investing in a good planner whether it's the dollar store, Walmart, Filofax, Erin Condren, Plum Paper design planner, you will need one. I would suggest not trying to read to "stay ahead" because you don't know what you are reading. You don't know what you are looking for exactly but if you must have to read something I suggest learning the nursing process(assess, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Yes you might get course objectives from previous students but sections can be changed around, so you don't want to spend your time on studying section 1 then come class, section 1 has been changed to section 4, then you have to start reading section 4 when you just knew the test would cover section 1. Just know the first test will cover about 20 chapters. Calm down, breath, relax, you will get it! Also, everyone will get an opportunity to register, no one will get left out(I had a coworker ask me about that).

Oh I'm a current student:wacky:

The nln pax test is computer based and the highest score is 200. Most scores range from 50-150 with the average being 100.

Okay thanks alot!

You have a good chance for fall @j.renee

Really great, I was totally freaking out. Now I must do well on NLN @Southwest_nursing. Thanks!!

hi I was just wondering did anyone get accepted with only the gpa requirements and the NLN exam? I haven't taken any of the sciences they use to calculate your score (which I read they were not mandatory). I took my NLN the other day and I was just wondering what were my chances?

Hello, I am trying to get into the southwest nursing program for the fall. I have 3.0 GPA. A in A&P I, B in A&P II & C in MICROBIOLOGY and 115 in my NLN. I am re-taking my microbiology, but do you think i have a chance at getting in for the fall with what i got now? I have also all ready take my statistics:B, English I:B and Nutrition;A. Does taking those classes help you at all getting into the program and what about the paper that you have to write on why you want admission into the program does that help you get into the program or is it based all on the index points?

Hi there! I've started a thread for the Fall. (Southwest TN CC Fall 2015) I applied for Spring with all B's in the prereqs and a 132 on NLN. I missed it by less than 2 index points. Each term, your chances depend on the applicant pool.
