Is it possible to be accepted into the Southern Connecticut State university Nursing Program with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and a TEAS score of a 82%?

Hi! I am graduating this spring from SCSU's nursing program. Its so hard to say what is accepted and isn't accepted by the nursing department. I had a 3.7 GPA and an 80-something on the teas. I knew of others who got in with a lower GPA. It really depends on your competition. They take the top 80 students I think that apply (at least that's how it worked when I applied in January 2013). Your class size will drop too as the nursing semesters go on because of failing grades (below a 77). I applied to Quinnipiac University in addition to the program just in case I didn't get into Southern's program. I definitely recommend applying to at least one other school just in case!
What is your nursing pre-req GPA if you don't mind me asking?

Previous poster brings up a great point. Apply to other local or nearby schools you possibly may like to attend if accepted. Applying to just one school is risky.
Thank you. I have applied to other schools. Fall semester i applied at St. Vincent's school of Nursing as my secondary choice. Thankfully i was accepted but i had to defer my seat because i want to wait for SCSU determination whether or not i will be accepted into the program.
My nursing pre-req is 3.47 but my cumulative GPA is 3.2 because i had to compute my transferred credits as well.
Thank you very much for commenting!
I think you'll be fine honestly. I know it's horrible waiting around for your letter!!! Good luck and if you have more questions, write a message on this page!
