Hello everyone! I wanted to see if there are any other South University students who are accepted for the June 2nd cohort coming up. I really wanted to reach out to my fellow students and potentially create a group for us to be able to communicate and share insight with one another. If there are any other students starting in June either reply or message me and we can brainstorm good ways to communicate with our fellow graduate students. Thank you!!

Hello. I'm in the June cohort. Nice to meet u.

My wife started last month at South University campus in Richmond so she a little ahead. That might be good though, if wanting to know what is coming up. She decided to go to the campus (she a alumni) but she knows to many people that went online only to have a very hard time securing the practicum and ended up going to the University. Hi

I'll be starting in June for the ANP program and hopefully this time there will be no hicups.

Hi, I will be starting the FNP program for the June 2nd cohort! Lets stay in touch. My email is [email protected]

I am a current student at South University in the Adult NP program, with 2 classes to go until graduation.

Good luck,

Chrissy

Well after further research and consideration I have decided to postpone South University and continue my education at my Graduate school for FNP. South is CCNE accredited which means they abide by the standards to alow programs bsn and above which is good but my previous school is both approved by CCNE and NLNAC which means they are evaluated every so years to be sure they abide by the strict standards of the department of education for the scope of practice they educate as well as evaluate the students perception on the program itself and its curriculum structuring. Neither school is BRN approved but my previous school uses the curriculum of APU which is BRN approved. My concern is I want to get out of school competent and with no issue in receiving my certificate. I'm not saying South will not prepare me because as it has been stated you get out of it what you put in just with any Graduate education there is no babysitting, but I just feel more comfortable with my previous school and I already know how they operate. Not to mention I will just be picking up where I left off. Thanks for all the advice and The Best of Luck to you all!!
