I didn't see a thread made yet so figured I would start one. Has anyone heard anything back yet about interviews for South College? Being rolling admissions, I do not know when they will start or if they have already started going through applications. Really hoping for an interview ??
Although their website have start and end time, they have a rolling application process, which. I didn't know. People are accepted to clinical sites, so if there is a spot open, they interview people for that 1-2 spot. Their total number per cohort and all sites is 45+, but heard they were looking into a new site. Not all sites accommodate the same number of students, so that matters too. Hope that helps.

I interviewed back in May and placed on the wait list. I was told that they would rank the waitlist and let students know if they were in the top, middle, or bottom of the waitlist when the cohort was filled. I haven't heard anything though.

I will be applying for the application opening again December 15th for a start in January 2025. Any insight on what South College looks for in a candidate (Experience-wise, GPA-wise, graduate science courses, leadership experiences)?
Thank you!
I am also looking into applying this go around! Wondering the same thing. I am super nervous.

I can't attest to specific application statistics but I can share mine.
- 6 years clinic LVN
- 4 years Surgical ICU experience
I was a staff nurse, filled as charge nurse intermittently, precepted students and new grads. I was one of the rapid response nurses at my facility. I was confident in recovering open hearts. My surgeons had Swan-ganz catheters post op so I became very comfortable with interpreting those values and how to intervene with abnormal values. I was comfortable with IABPs, impella, as well as CRRT.
- I applied to 8 different CRNA schools
- Interviewed with 4 progams and got accepted to 2.
- 3.3 overall GPA
- CCRN
They want to know that you are a competent ICU nurse and can finish CRNA school. Your CCRN should set you up for the clinical portion of the interview but know your "why". Why do you want to be an anesthetist? You're why should propel you through 3 rigorous years of graduate school without an income to finish with a doctorate degree.
Good luck!

Thank you!
For the cohort I am in. We were told 300 people applied for 50 seats. So 1/6 folks got in. I haven't started yet but I have met some of the faculty. They are experienced and passionate nurse anesthesia educators that have ran programs in the past. They sincerely care about our success and I look forward to matriculating into this program.

Any specific advice on the interview process? I received my invitation from South to interview for the 2025 start date today. I am so nervous and so overwhelmed by what to prepare for. There are so many different things I have read to study for these interviews so I feel all over the place.
