Nursing Students School Programs

Anyone currently attending or trying to get in to the Nursing program at South College Atlanta campus?

Yes, I'm shooting for Sept 2020! You?

I applied for the Spring 2020 semester and got out in the alternate list and then ended up not getting a seat at all so I’m not sure if I’ll be applying again. I’m currently applying to other programs.

We’re all of your classes completed? Do you mind sharing your GPA?

Were *

Yes. Everything was completed . I had a 3.4 overall and a 3.7 science GPA. I am an EMT and currently work in a Pediatric trauma ER. I don’t know what else they could’ve been looking for but I hate I wasted so much money doing prerequisites there.

Oh WOW!! Now I’m nervous. I have three prerequisite left... they made it seemed like once I completed those classes I can apply..,and as long as my GPA is great I wouldn’t have any problems getting in.

I suggest that you apply again. Do two things.

#1 Change your admissions recruiter to Michelle Cardillo. I don't care what anyone tells you. Go with Michelle, she will fight for you. I tried to get in once before and it didn't happen. Then I changed to Michelle and the transcript and other departments still gave me a hard time. She fought for me and worked after hours to ensure that I got in. I didn't do any pre-requites there. Most administrators there where surprised to find out that I got in without first doing any classes there.

#2 Tell Michelle that Nicky Porter sent you. ? I'll see you there in the fall of 2020!

I have a friend who did some of her prerequisites there and didn't get in this semester with me. She is so upset. I had a 3.2 overall and a 3.7 science GPA. She had the same admissions advisor that I had the first time. I don't want to bad mouth anyone but I needed to do whatever it took to success. I changed advisors because I had everything else lined up. When I did, I got in.

Please don’t tell me your previous Admission advisor Was Hassan?

Your friend didn’t get in the April/May class or the upcoming one in September?

So I just applied for the Fall cohort! Anyone else apply and take the TEAS ?

Yes, I was very shocked when I learned we had to take it. I scored proficient (65%), but got my acceptance notification today. I still have so many questions! Can’t wait for orientation next month.
