Why would you reapply if you are already licensed? Makes no sense.

Are you referring to the PVT? That does not tell you if you are licensed, either, it's a trick used by people who are trying to figure out if they passed or failed the NCLEX before waiting for official results.

If you attempt to purchase a new registration after having completed the NCLEX, and once you submit your financial information you see a message telling you "another registration cannot be made at this time", it is *assumed* that you passed the exam, but it is NOT an indication of whether/when a license will be issued. That's up to Pennsylvania. :)

With state I reapplied where it says apply for licensing the msg said you already hold this license

Well, then what else do you need to know? If you don't believe them, call the darn BoN and ask.

I looked at your other thread, and see why you are confused.

As I said before, if you are doing the PVT (which IS what you're talking about, it turns out), it DOES NOT tell you that you have a license. The message ONLY tells you that you cannot register for another EXAM. Not the same thing.

IF you did the PVT correctly, it is assumed (read: guessed at) that you probably did pass. THAT has no bearing on when or if the State you are seeking licensing from will ISSUE you one. That's up to them.

I have to assume you are a foreign graduate applicant. Your requirements will be different from an US educated graduate, and you might not get a license in the same period of time.

Bottom line (again): When/if the State issues you a license is dependent on how fast they move, how far behind they are, and whether all your paperwork is in order. Passing the NCLEX is only a piece of it.

When I got my initial license through PA it posted to the state's page in 24 hours.
