Hi everyone! Just wanted to start this thread to see if anyone else applied to this program and, if so, to follow along this journey together. Wishing everyone the best for this application cycle!

Congratulations all!

Does anyone know how long we have to accept? Is the orientation on the 27th in-person or online?  Based off upcoming changes to the program, can we still complete in 24 months, even if we don't take Summer classes? Anyone planning on taking Summer classes? If we take classes this Summer can we finish sooner? Sorry for the million questions, but realized I had a lot more after talking to the Director the other week

All fantastic questions! Unfortunately, all I can attest to is that I plan to take Summer classes. I'm sure many of us have similar questions and more that'll hopefully be answered soon once we receive word from the nursing program itself.

From what I remember when I spoke to Rich, he said taking the Summer courses, wouldn't allow you to graduate earlier. It would just open up slots in other semesters where you could take elective courses. Personally, hoping that there's a way around that and we could actually graduate early somehow? Perhaps another Summer session next year? Maybe it's something we can suggest during orientation?

How are people feeling after receiving letter of admissions from nursing department today?

Specializes in Endoscopy.

Currently unsure how I would go about getting preceptors. Let's make a facebook page group for  our cohort? We did that during nursing school and it was a good way to communicate and clarify.
also might not do Summer classes.. I don't really want to pay for 5 semester if I don't have to LOL?

I feel somewhat lost to as to where to start with getting preceptors as well. Definitely like the idea of a class FB group. There are so many questions I am sure we all have!

I went ahead and created a group but I know means am I experienced as a moderator of a facebook group. I called it SSU FNP 2024 Cohort FT track. It should be searchable.
