Sonoma State Fall 2015 Applicants

Hello! I am starting a thread for Sonoma State Fall 2015 applicants. I've started putting my information in to my Nursing CAS account and I will finish my application at the end of the month, after I take the TEAS. I'll update with my points at that time. However as long as I get a 90 or above I will have 76 points (without counting the essay points).

I'd love to hear from fellow Sonoma State applicants!

Hey guys! I applied to sonoma state as well! Best of luck to all of us! :)

Hi ljlevenson! Good luck to you as well...Regardless of the results, I just want this wait to be over!

They did not tell me when decisions will be made. I am guessing with the late deadline and the huge number of applicants that it will be later this month or next month. I so, so don't want to have to do SRJC and then bridge to BSN for 3 years (considering I even get into the JC). With a family and being located remotely in Healdsburg and having spent years doing prereqs that are about to time-out for most programs, this is really my last shot at nursing school while I'm still in my 40s!

I know how you feel. I've got three young children and a husband that have to put up with me and my crazy schedule until I finally graduate. I'm trying to keep up hope, but the anxiety is horrible! I hope that they manage to get decisions made sooner rather than later. If I do happen to be accepted I have to be able to enroll in a CNA class and get that done prior to the deadline.

I know--the CNA class! Working days and taking the class at nights for almost 2K...School would start mid-summer....If I could go back and talk to my 21-year-old childless unmarried self, I would certainly shake her for choosing fine art photography and housekeeping as careers and not figuring out what I really wanted to do AND would be a sensible choice sooner.

Well, I got the rejection email. Looks like I'll have a good chance at another one of the CSU's for their spring start. Looking at the bright side-I'll have about 5 months of down time before starting the nursing program. Good luck to you guys!

I got the rejection e-mail as well... I must say I'm not too surprised since I'm not local. Best of luck to you at the other CSU. Congratulations to anyone who made it!

I am so sorry! I know how hard we've all worked for this. I really wish you luck. I haven't heard ftom SSU yet.
