So I woke up this morning to the phone cancling me for yet another shift this week...the tally...no work for two weeks as an agency nurse. Okay...house payment is late..bills...yeah right. I was getting so depressed!

I have been working for this one hospital as their agency nurse exclusively for 7 months and really fit in there well, and enjoy working again! The MD's are great..heck the whole staff is. Finally 3 charge nurses made me promice to put in my application and see what happens. I was hesitant...there goes my weekends, my flexibility...but I finally came to the conclusion with the cancelations that I must find FT work with a stable company..and this one was actually begging me! So I put in my app late last night.

I get a call at 0900! Groggy (because I went back to sleep after the cancelation at 0500), I get a very cheery HR man from the hospital saying..."the nurses here, including the administration say it is about time! You have 429 hours at our facility, at 500..if you so desire still...we will buy out your contract and hire you on full time!". I about leaped out of my bed in excitement!

As I figure 9, 8 hour days and I am in...now Lordie no more canclations due to low census please...LOL!

My family, who were depressed and scared about loosing the home are back on cloud nine, including my very stressed out and overtime working hubby (to make ends meet).

YEAH!!!!!!!! It is about time...the ironic thing about all this...I have applied to this facility for years, and always rejected with no reason given...now they are willing to buy out my contract to get me!!!!!!! That makes me feel so good!
