Anyone want to convince me to do one over the other? :) (read: easier LOL)I'll have about 10 days left in my Straighterline "month", so I could just do sociology through them.. Is it the type of course you can do in a week? Or I could just leave it for now and CLEP it later on. Thoughts?
I hope you get some answers from anyone who has done the Straighterline Sociology! If you could do it in 10 days, that would be awesome! I completed their Medical Terminology course in 4-6 hours. The English 101, on the other hand, took about 7 weeks... lots of papers!
For Human Growth and Development, I used CLEP... it was about 2 solid weeks of studying, then the test.
Straighterline would be cheaper, though.... $39. CLEP will be about $99.. GOOD LUCK!!
p.s. Be sure to check your exact renewal date through Straighterline.. they use a 28 day 'month'!
I recently completed Straighterline's Sociology class. Took me about nine days from start to finish to complete the course. I thoroughly enjoyed the class; the content was very interesting. The course has no papers for you to write--just quizzes and two major exams. I didn't even read the textbook recommended for the class; I just took notes from the lesson presentation at the beginning of each chapter. Hope this helps make up your mind!
