Over 500 pediatric nurses attend the SPN conference. 69% are from children's hospitals, 17% from the hospital setting, and 10% are academic. 51% are staff nurses, while 24% work in education and 13% are management.

Every year, SPN sponsors a charity, and this year they are sponsoring the Roundup River Ranch, a local charity (501©(3)). This camp is for sick children and their families and provides fun camp experiences for the children and activities throughout the year. Their wish list can be found on the website.
