Considering this site covers more than just the US market I am throwing out questions looking for provider based experiences. I have not read any provider based comments but I may not have done a deep enough search. So here goes..
Socialized vs what we have here in the US. Has anyone here had the opportunity to work under both systems: Experiences, thoughts?
If no experience working in both systems:
- US system: Have you run into major problems obtaining needed medications, testing, procedures, etc. for your patients?
I am familiar with the US system but state to state there are differences: Any limits to access to care?
- Socialized system: Have you run into major problems obtaining needed medications, testing, procedures, etc. for your patients?
Other then hearsay I am not very familiar with other countries medical services: Any limits to access to care?
I have read (we probably all have) and heard of the horror stories concerning both systems but would like to hear a provider’s viewpoint.
Thanks!

We have universal health care in Australia, but very few NPs. There are no problems accessing tests/resources etc that I've ever noticed from working in ICUs.
