Social Security Number for Canadians - please help!

Hello!

Does se anyone have any insight into the process of applying for a social security card from Canada? Do you have to work in the USA for a certain period of time before you can obtain one?

Once in the US with a valid work/immigrant visa you can after a few days of arrival into the US and activated work/immigrant visa go down to the local offices and apply for US SSN. But as mentioned previously check out their website
