So, suck it up and take the A&P lecture exam or not?

I've got a really bad headache. Migraine. Sick to my stomach from it too. Its really affecting the way I'm studying and I'm not retaining anything. I probably shouldnt be out driving. I should be back in my dark bedroom right now, but dont know what to do.

I have an A&P lecture exam tonight - 5 chapters of material. Do I go in and take it and hope for the best, when I know if I was feeling my best, I'd pass it no problem, OR stay home and take it later?

Not being there for an exam is frowned upon of course. They may make me have a Dr note, but I cant get into the docs today even if I wanted to.

I do have a doc appt acheduled for before the next lecture, d you think the doc would give me an excuse? She's pretty cool and flexible. I did call in today to ask what other meds I could take more of, so they have a record that I had a migraine today.

Basically, I've heard that the dept gives students a hard time for missing exams. So...I can either go in with a migraine and sick to my stomach and possibly fail the test. OR stay home, go back to bed, and hope my dr gives me an excuse so I can make the exam up.

What would you do?

Wow, I don't even know! Poor you! I would tend to say go and take it unless you are on your death bed .. in theory at least but not sure that I'd feel that way if I was actually feeling that horrible. I don't know how close you are to the death bed thing or how confident you feel on the material. What is the weight of this exam? HUGS and good luck with your decision! Are you able to talk it over with a faculty advisor or the professor? I'll be praying for you to feel better!

So sorry to read you are not feeling well.

I also realize that by this time you either took the exam or not.

Hard to advice because here if you miss and exam, quizz, or practical you CANNOT make it up. Even if you are giving birth (this happened to a classmate).....therefore you must take a Zero.

If this is the case, then ANY points are better than no points. BUT if you are allowed to take the exam at a later time.....then do it then.

Best wishes to you.
