So IS DNP Required Or Not For NPs?

So for a couple years I have been hearing about how NPs are going to have to attend a DNP program if they want to become NPs (I understand that current NPs will be grandfathered). I understood that this was a done deal. Now I hear that it is not a done deal after all. So what is it? Will there still be MSN NP programs after 2015?
