So its gonna be hard to coordinate 2 jobs?

I have been offered a position in a home health company that is moving to my area. Its PRN which is what I wanted so that I can work my night job doing phone triage. I interviewed back in the beginning of November! Can you believe it took them this long to get back with me?

So in the mean time I have found an opening with a hospital run Hospice and interviewed and so far, I have learned that I am the only nurse interviewing for it. I know that they have contacted my current employer. So with the Hospice PRN job, it is one weekend per month and two holidays per year.

My heart is with the Hospice job, but I am not sure that I can coordinate my main job doing triage with the Hospice. The problem is, if I'm already working the triage job, my weekends and holidays on the night shift are already taken.

Wow... You sound like you want to move your career into hospice and are taking a PRN to get your foot into the door, correct? If so, see if you can work something out with the hospice job given that it is PRN and may be more flexible.

How far in advance will you know your hospice schedule?

How far in advance will you know your hospice schedule?

I did ask and she said that at the end of the month we will have the next month's schedule, and this is precisely how my triage job works. We usually get 1 month schedule at a time and its usually the last week of the month. Hospice said that they give the PRN nurses the schedule and then the PRN nurses fill in the days that they are available and then they make out the schedule.

Its gonna confuse my brain isn't it? Think it'll make me stressed?
