So fevers don't count on field day

So tomorrow is our PK-2nd grade field day and I learned something new...fevers don't count on field day. I am sent a second grader 20 minutes prior to dismissal for headache and "feels warm." Sure enough he is very warm...103.4 warm. So Mom comes to pick up and I walk him out and I state that unfortunately no school tomorrow, to which Mom simply states that since it his last field day and he has only a headache and she took off from work tomorrow, he will in fact be here tomorrow. I plainly stated to have him evaluated by his pedicirian and have the doctor state whether and when he is cleared to return to school and submit such proof to me upon his return to school. I wasn't getting into a post bus dismissal argument in front of this innocent child with this mo mo (moron mom). We will see if he shows tomorrow or if Mom needed the day off to take care of her sick son.

Several years ago I had a student with chicken pox - during STAAR testing. I was at a small school at the time and only there 2 days a week. I found out after the fact, the principal had a staff member do one on one testing with her. I was so mad!!! Kid hung out in the cafeteria with other kids before testing started and tested with a female of child bearing age.
