Snead LPN-RN Mobility 2016

Published

Are there any other students applying to Snead mobility program for spring 2016?

No I haven't heard from Snead nor Gadsden. Where is Bevill? I've been living in Alabama for 1 year.

I really want to get into Snead program. I work with Birmingham VA and really need to continue working.

I work at Birmingham VA also. Where do you work?

I am actually with one of the CBOCCs, but will be trying to return to the floor in B'ham.

What floor or department you are on?

I applied to Snead as well.

I see that several of you work for the VA I work at the Chattanooga CBOC! Transferred there from White City, Oregon VA this summer.

Great! I see we have VA in force. How many points do you have? Just asking because I pray we all get accepted.

I know at least 170. I have additional because I have completed all the electives and what not. I have a bachelors in another area. I'm just hoping I get in. I should have applied to other places but Snead is the one I can feasibly do without extreme interruption to working. I was accepted somewhere else but they cost too much and I don't want to be tied to the VA by using their scholarship.

Ok that's great

Nikapooh19, I haven't tried to apply for VA scholarship. but really want to stay with them for at least a year to gain experience. The one thing I love about VA, is you don't have to change jobs to gain the necessary experience as an RN. I use to work with the Dept. of the Army, but as an LPN transitioning to RN position usually you will have to leave the system.
