Curious as to what everyone thinks of the "Alaris" smart pump? We are just being introduced to them in Canada. Are you finding them user friendly:specs: or other wise?
thanks in advance for your responses!!

So eliminating the cassette hasn't made these pumps any more user friendly than the old Signature Golds that we're still using. We waste more time trying to get those stupid things to work! Explain to me how air can get into a supposedly closed system where the fluid path is completely fluid-filled, please!

Sometimes with the diprivan and lipids it may just be the viscosity of the liquid, I have noticed similar problems with diprivan drips on my unit. I have found that if i prime the tubing more slowly through that part of the tubing that is clamped in the channel I have less "air in line" alarms.
