If you dont get in or you do dont worry you'll get in someplace

If you mean Slu as in St. Louis University, you've gotta to apply to this program. I have only been in the program for a week and let me tell ya, it's AWESOME and blows my mind away. You'll never find a program where the lecturers are all sooooo freaken knowledgeable, smart and very uplifting. Well I shouldnt say it's the only program like that out there because I dont have experience with other programs. But here's the thing, they all want you to succeed. You feel the support from them. They bring in students who just graduated to show you how normal those people are, essentially just like you. They did it and you can too. They dont wing over subjects. They elaborate. They're fun, brilliant and incredibly very intelligent group of people. They are very respectful of students. If they ask you to do something, they said the reason is not because they are trying to be difficult. They dont just say this is what I want you to do so do it. No authoritative approach with students. They teach students to be respectful of patients as they demonstrate how they are respectful of us as students. They support the topic at hand with lots of their personal experiences that really matter. All of the courses they make you take are all pertinent and critical to your success. They dont make you do assignments just to occupy your time. They dont talk about things not relevant to the nursing process. All lecturers remind you why one subject ties in with another class subject and they back it up with many examples. After sitting through several classes, you feel as if they are more than adequately prepared to teach you; they have delivered from their ends. Now it's your turn. You just dont know if you can live up to their expectations. You're excited about attending more classes just to hear them talk. But the grading scale is really tough. You must pass with a 77% otherwise you can't move on to another course. 70% is failing. Everything they teach you, they will watch you perform those tasks in the lab, one by one. You actually learn a lot this way. They even give you a BIG locker to put your books and other stuff in. This program is overwhelming but it is definitely so intriguing and worth every penny spent. And it is definitely beaucoup money to attend this school. So worth it though. Their labs and equipments are state of the art. I just cant wait to succeed pass this summer so I can attend more courses in the Fall and see what they are all about...
