Slow reader

Published

I am a slow reader because English is not primary language, and I will be taking Nclex in March. My teacher said we should use less than 90 seconds each question. Should I take my time for the first 75 questions? or I should try to keep the time 90 seconds each?

I assume the purpose of the 90 second recommendation is for just in case you have all 265 questions. Although it is important to keep this in mind, it is still critical to read the question and answers carefully. Don't rush your way through. I would advise to read the question first without reading the answers, so you have a better grasp about the topic of the question. This might help. Good luck!

Given that many of the answers to each question contain correct information and you are required to select the most correct or answer with highest nursing priority reading the question and answers carefully is essential. There is no point limiting yourself to 90 seconds per answer if it causes you to select wrong answers. Read every question carefully and carefully choose the best answer.
