What is going on with the Nurse Recruters? It seemes that when you have had a great interview and want to move across the country that the Nurse Recruters take forever to get coordinated. I E-Mail and leave messages. I am ready to pack and call the moving company but am left with a feeling of uncertanty. They may have lost me. I will concider calling anouther Hospital in that area. I recently interviewed for ICU and the Head Nurse wanted me on her team. Application and refresences complete. I am tired of no ancer from the Recruter. Any suggestions out there?

I would recommend a phone call. Not everyone feels that email is the preferred method of communication.

Definitely call! You can't count on email alone, I would also followup with a thank you note if you already haven't done so. In my facility we have two nurse recruiters for the 3rd largest employer in NJ. The squeaky wheel gets the oil! Good luck.

Maisy;)

Consider having the unit call the recruiter, since you say you spoke with them already.

If a manager seemed interested, call the manager. I've had some bad experiences with nurse recruiters not contacting potential hires to inform them of a manager's interest.

Often it is the background check. Hospitals tend to send that work out, to cover themselves if someone lies on the application.
