Slippery Rock University RN-BSN anyone?
I got accepted into this program. I received a welcome letter with details including my advisor and her contact details. I was requested to contact her to register for classes. I called several times and left messages, I sent e-mail, yet no response from her. Anyway, I contacted the admin assistant who helped me register.
Later I called the department chair and told her I was worried and scared of starting the program knowing I can't reach my advisor when I need help. She apologized and said she will either ask her to contact me or assign me another advisor. Its been almost a week yet no word from the my advisor or chair!
I really want this program but wonder if these are warning signs.
Please I would appreciate any advise.
Thanks
Dr. Tammy, FNP/GNP-C

It looks like they're NLNAC accredited and have been since 1981.

Double check with PA State Board of Nursing to make sure they are approved. I'm not sure this is even essential as this appears to be a post license program (e.g. RN-BSN)
Ask if you can communicate with random students--not students they pick. A good way to do this for online is ask to be put in their discussion board BlackBoard forum for one of the upper division courses, and then pick a few and email them privately.
