Do you routinely skip your lunch breaks/other break times while at work?
If so, do you think this is a good practice?? why or why not?
Also, do you stay after your shift to finish up work routinely? how long? (minutes or hours)
What type of work setting are you currently working in?

I one time had a manager that would only have 2 of us there and would make no provision for lunch breaks. When we complained we were told to get the secretary to run down to the cafeteria and get lunch for us. I don't think it's a secretary's job to do this. Plus even when we brought our lunches there was nobody to cover us so we could eat them. We didn't have our own refrigerator and were not allowed to place our food in the one in the patient kitchen. We couldn't eat anything at the nurses station with the amount of pts and families coming and going. We often had to sneak bites of food in the medroom or in the bathroom. I made sure to charge each time for no lunch.
