Hi, Has anyone heard the latest length of the waiting lists for Maricopa Skill Center and/or Southwest Skill Center?

I have no idea, but I'm curious, too.

I applied this last April and found out within a month or two that I got in the class starting next week- but Im going there on Tuesday to get a copy of my application and let them know Im declining the spot- They are way too unorganized & I dont trust them with my financial aid- They keep mysteriously loosing me in their system- and I think the program itself is too long as well as the weekly hours...
Now Im just prayin I get into Gateway in Jan!

the next class starts in january 09, and they are allowing applications to be turned in up until september 21. as i was told they will be accepting the top NET scorers first, and then the remainder of the applicants. if for some reason you don't get in you will be accepted into the next class, which i think is in april? this is the info i got when i attended the information session. i will be submitting my application in the next few weeks, so i will keep you up to date on whether or not i get accepted right away.

Well, that's two spots freed up, I declined as well. I didn't have all the problems you had though. I had a relatively easy time but I was very persistent. I agree that things are unorganized. Things change every few months as now they require the NET when before it was the TABE. I guess I realize things can be ever changing in these program but, this school has been around for quite some time. Oh well, from what I gather the program is good and they have produced quite a number of capable LPN's. That is what is important. For me, it was the tuition.
yeah as much as i hear how unorganized they are and how every day something is changed, their graduates have a really high passing rate on the nclex, and that is what caught my attention. i figure i can deal with a little disorganization as long as i still get the education and experience required to pass the nclex and start my new career.
