Anyone applying to SJVC visalia for the 2019 cohort?

Anyone familiar with their app process and finances? and good luck to everyone applying.

Yes west hills and then also debating on going to West Coast University in June, it’s a BSN program so whatever Happens it’s gonna be good. Have you heard anything yet?

my email said I was on "the first list" of alternates for SJVC, not sure how close that is to in.. lol but we'll see.. im also waiting to here from a few more schools but I think this is my best bet bc my teas and everything is pretty good but my GPA kinda killed me . I was also thinking about west coast but I think that will be too far for me

Ya it’s far, the only thing I’m dreading.,. I would have to get an apartment over there... but definitely gonna do it if I don’t get in this year over here, I can’t wait another year ... good luck !

I agree, its hard waiting to get accepted into nursing school! sucks to say but I hope that some people drop here so that im able to get in.. otherwise it's going to be a long year of doing nothing

Still nothing here. The wait, the wait! This thread does help. So thank you all for being here.

I don't think I got in. My gpa and my TEAS are ok at best. I was hoping a private school would give me better odds but it's not looking good.

I'm also thinking about trying a private school in LA. West Coast has too long of a program. I can't relocate to LA for that long. It's too expensive. I'm thinking of National. Too bad they closed their Bakersfield campus.

are you in Bakersfield? that sucks ! I never knew they had a national uni in Bakersfield. im in Bakersfield too so this would be a drive but honestly my best chance I believe !

National is way harder to get into.

At this point I am waiting to hear anything. I had my interview last week on the 28th. I have a good gpa and my teas score was good too I think. But I wish the interview and essay had went a little better. I was so nervous.

No. I'm in the Central Coast. All we have is one RN program and another one about one hour south. If I was to get this I would spend the week over there with kind friends willing to rent me a room. Yes. I am desperate.

No shame in being desperate ! Lol I’m right there with you . If I get in I’d probably have to move or rent w someone too so I get you. You do what u gotta do!

Really? Fantastic. I guess anything in LA or the Bay would be automatically more competitive. My science GPA is 3.4 and my regular GPA is 3.9. My teas was 83. I already didn't make in our local point system school even though I work in health care and speak Spanish (all of that gives u extra points). I guess I'll just keep studying for next year's TEAS.
